"To those of my generation who once held high ideals - It's NEVER TOO LATE to make this change! I became vegan in my sixties, after a lifetime of believing that vegetarianism was enough. My generation are the children of the 60's, many of us "dropped out" of the dominant culture, we became vegetarian, we held ideals & ideas of peace & love, we envisaged a better world.
Large numbers of us became politicized, campaigned for a society free from racism, sexism, heterosexism, ageism & all the other isms that create enmity. We understood how personal change is empowering and crucial to how societies progress.We achieved much, but not enough. Let's re-kindle our youthful belief in a better world. Let's join in solidarity with the younger generation. Let's wake up to the truth. Justice and equality demand that we fully embrace veganism and an end to the false and destructive construct of speciesism. Peace and Love to all beings.”
