I had become vegan during my pregnancy as at the beginning I craved cream buns etc and then the thought of it made me sick...but it was only when I was in labour that I could not stop thinking of those poor mothers giving birth to their babies only to have them stolen from them, a mothers worst nightmare I imagine, and that is when I truly knew I would be vegan for life and loud about it, not keep it to myself anymore in case I 'upset' anyone!

I found about the plight of animals and veganism ethics after that, and since I had no guidance it took me a while to change some things, like using honey. So I am thankful to the volunteers who help spread information, especially to young people who genuinely have no clue about what they've been eating.
