I haven't taken any and I was normal when checked, except for my iron, which the doc said was probably because of my heavy period, as it was tested during. My mom was a meat eater and she had an awfully heavy period too, so no one can be silly and blame soy or anything, liek they do. lol Sorry for the giant run on sentence. I also feel that supplementing with synthetic vitamins is dangerous and can cause toxicity and cancer..fact I think..not just belief. Anyway, I found some whole foods vitamins recently and I have been taking them now and then. I feel good. Not only vegans can be deficient and I don't think testing is that reliable to what we need. They only have theories too.

Having been vegan for 17 years, I am very aware how important it is to take supplements/eat the right foods to get the nutrients I need. I think all vegans should take B12. I take Vitamin D because I avoid the sun. I take iron because I have a medical problem that makes me low in iron. I've just started taking Omega 3. I don't take Calcuim, but may do when I get older. I intend to buy an iodine supplement as I have recently found out this could be good for my health issues.
