I am a Ph.D. and a Rabbi. Many non-vegans when they first find out that I am vegan are surprised - often remarking to the effect of, "You can't be vegan; you're normal!" Too many vegans come off as off-beat and turn-off non-but-potential-vegans. Coming across as "normal" is quite important to help the mainstream world see that being vegan is actually quite normal and the right thing to do.

I'm professional with a degree similar to Masters in Visual Communication, but can't find a job that is ethical within my field or any other. I can't sell print-on-demand art prints because the printing companies use gelatine in the paper and maybe other animal products and animal testing. I think the first option for this question perhaps should be spelled: “You're a basic person, but vegan.”
